rode elephants today ... we looked into the site first ... they seemd to be treated very well ... they had elephants as old as 85 yrs .... they walked you thru the campus prior to riding ... you could see there stalls and roaming area ... how and what they were fed... it was an impressive camp ....
arrived in Bangkok late due to a plane cancellation . went out to the bars as soon as we arrived. We have been spoiled in vietnam we bought Coronas for around $1 ... Cambodia $1.50.... arrived in Bangkok and we still hadn't wrapped our heads around the exchange rate and currency.... toook about 4 hours and $100 dollars later we realized beer is 5x more expensive in Bangkok (especially Corona) .... well the search begins tomorrow for a new beer to drink ...
the killing fields was extremly eye opening and gruesome. Its hard to beleive that something this horrible had happened during my life time . For those who are not aware of it i recommend reading up on it. After the eye opening experience at the killing fields we went to shoot guns . arrived in cambodia safely and dirtier . we had booked 4 seats on the bus so we would have a little more room . the seats you see us in are designed for 2 people or one mick and on trevor. Andy decided to sleep on the floor in between these 2 seats . need less to say we are gled to be off the bus .
