After a sleep in and relax at Semilla Verde it was back to Baltra for our flight back to Guayaquil. Don't think either of us are very keen to leave but it is onto Peru.
After a hassle free flight and a quick taxi ride we arrived at Hotel Presidential International. We had decided there was no way we were staying at Hostal Suites Madrid again and it was off to the lonely planet for a better option. Hotel Presidential International looked the go and after arrriving we found they had a room and it seemed pretty good and reasonably quiet. . .So we thought.
Our determination on Guayaquil is that no where is quiet and after what seemed like renovations all night we have no desire to return. Although it was still quieter than Suites Madrid.
We walked down the Malecon and found they had moved the horse 'art'. We spent some time looking at the horses each done by a different artist, some quite intricate and others just outright strange. We were both quite impressed with the 'comic' horse.
We found a nice restaurant overlooking the ocean front, Resaca, where we had a good meal, although plain and a few drinks before heading back to our hotel. Whilst we must say there wasn´t anything particularly bad about Guayaquil it really isn´t a toursit place (well not to us anyway).
After a very early rise for our flight we are now in Lima, Peru. More on that tomorrow after our exploring. So far we like Lima and have a good hotel (well so far. . .)
