This month in Queenstown has been an interesting one. There was snow on the mountains! This was particularly exciting for me, I've taken a couple of pictures as it makes them look so pretty. I'm a sucker for some snow, and Karyn and Pete from New Zealand walks have contacted me to ask if I'd like to do some snowshoeing with them, as soon as the snow settles enough. http://nzwalks.com/pages/snow-shoeing
I haven't had a winter for two years, so I'm looking forward to some skiing, even though the first and last time I attempted it I sprained my wrist, or rather my brother did as he skied into me.
It's also my birthday coming up and I'm considering doing this: http://www.queenstownrafting.co.nz/combos/skippers-grand-slam/
I know, it looks crazy. I'm scared already and I haven't even booked it yet. The canyon swing looks terrifying and I'm not sure I'll ever be the same again. I can safely say I won't ever look as happy as the girl 'modelling' it on the website! As I'm typing I'm looking over the lake Wakatipu and the mountains, the sky is blue and the water looks crisp and cold. I just watched one of the Jet Boats shoot past, sending ripples all the way to the shoreline.
I approached Central Ridge Boutique Hotel and asked the manager if I could hang some of my artwork through the hotel, and she said she would be delighted to, which was excellent news.

Fingers crossed that someone likes it enough to buy it.
