Hello all
hope your doing ok over in bonnie Scotland.
We have had busy day travelling around Auckland visiting community services, some quite impressive and others less so. We had a look round a vocational project who help in the making of Scrabble tiles and spent time in a laid back but effective arts project. We also visited a peer run drop in service called Te Ata. Tomorrow we are back in the Mason Clinic visiting the acute services and going out with a community nurse to see a 'step down' house.
Tonight we visited the Aukland Sky Tower. Quite scary, amazing views, rubbish food. We chose to spend our time up there gazing out of the window rather than bungee jumping out of it - why would anyone want to do that..? Susi heard Justin Timberlake was in town so spent her time with the binoculars checking out all the penthouse suites in the area....but no luck.
It seems that wherever we go people are under the impression that we are youngsters on an OE (overseas experience), and the phrase "of course that was before you girls were even born" has come up a few times. We are not sure whether we should feel flattered or not! The taxi drivers are a good source of entertainment, especially the one we had today who could neither see road signs or the meter and drove the wrong way up a one way street, which she seemed to highly amusing...
The bald cat continues to creep around the place looking slightly menancing and a little unfortunate, poor wee thing.
That's all for now folks
It's good night from me and it's good night from her!
Susi & Adrienne
