My very last day in New York only had one thing on the agenda - get the bus from 33rd & 7th to Washington D.C at 1pm. I got a bus through a company called Boltbus. I only booked it the night before but it still only cost $21 which isn't bad at all. If you book about 3 weeks in advance when the fares first come out you can land a $1 fare from NY to DC which is mental.
