Chilling by the roadside with a drink can be really enjoyable in Vietnam, especially with a cup of coffee that is so well-known for their thick aroma. Observing the lives of the locals, they are so different from Singapore; they're slow-paced and laid back - makes you kind of love the life here. One interesting thing yet is they don't seem to have any accident despite the atrociously congested traffic.
A rule of thumb in Vietnam -- never stop walking when you step on the road to cross over.
Taking a tour down to Cu Chi tunnels today has really educated me a lot on the Vietnam war. It's pretty cool to hear stories from the people whom actually have had been through the war itself. Our guide - Mr. Tung, born in 1947 (he repeated this umpteen times till it got planted in my mind), was once part of the Viet Cong. He's really a funny man with many songs, watch the video.
A few more days in Vietnam and we're moving on to Cambodia. Got to endure the arduous bus journey that is going to last 12 hours.
