We're back in Saigon and winding down on our last day. Amanda got a tummy bug yesterday which resulted in us postponing our Chu Chi tunnel tour until the afternoon. She's better today but only thanks to the gastro kit we brought with us. Not fun. Thankfully amanda managed to get her s*** together (so to speak) enough to do the tour in the arvo.
Misha - lots of fun poo stories for you guys to talk about when we get home.
The tunnels were great. Thankfully it was almost deserted (there's something to be said for travelling in the low season) and we had a good afternoon learning about war tactics and horrible ways that you can kill someone with a trap. The tunnels - which have been enlarged to fit fat western tourists - were tiny, I can't imagine what it was like when they were the actual size.
There is a shooting range at the tunnels and amanda shot an AK-47. She pulled the trigger and I let off girlie screams in the background. Those things are LOUD. There was a group of aussie blokes there at the same time as us and they were very impressed to see a girl take on the Ak-47.
Our guide was this very cute poofta Vietnamese boy is coming to australia in Jan next year to work in his uncle's resturant. We gave him a good tip.
Not much more to say - we'll get on the plane tonight (hopefully will all our luggage) and be home in the morning.
