Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Hi Everyone,
I made it.
Yes it was a very long flight but I'm here. I had an aisle seat next to a nice old lady
who sat by the window
unfortunately, the first thing she said was "i hope you don't mind but I have to get up every two
hours to walk around the plane" No, not at all. I asked her, repeatedly:), if she wouldn't
prefer the aisle seat so she could get up whenever she wanted, but she assured me that she
prefered the window seat so she could sleep better between walks.
Anyway, made it and I'm in the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in Asia,, for 12 dollars.
Phnom Penh is nice. Not too many tourists so I can walk around without being bothered
which I love. Haven't made any big plans yet. My friend Jeremy might have to go off to
photograph frogs if it rains, or baby elephants up north. I would love to go see the elephants
but he says they are quite elusive and dangerous and doesn't think it would be safe. b*****.
Haven't decided yet where to go. But I'll keep you updated, I think there is internet in most places.
Here is what I see outside the internet cafe- Women walking by with large baskets of everything on their
heads, lots of scooters, i've been offered a photocopied version of the lonely planet, there are many stores selling pirated dvd's for 2 dollars, some that are still in theatres and quite a few older men with very young
and beautiful Cambodian women. Ahh Asia, who can beat it.
