Today was our last day here in Hong Kong. Fortunately I was feeling much better and could venture out in the world again. We took advantage of Free Museum entry Wednesday's and went to the Hong Kong Art museum in the morning. Saw plenty of old art like vases, and how to tell which are from what dynasty and who the artist was. Bing wasn't feeling too well so afterwards she went back to the hotel with Mizpah.
I had the concierge book a pedicure and manicure at a day spa, since the one downstairs was fully booked. I'm used it it only taking 1 hour but here they have a massage too and it took 3 hours. Jen was with me and we hadn't had lunch so we were starving by the time our nails were done! There was a steak place upstairs from the day spa and we headed there for lunch. It was very delicious and I tried baked oysters with garlic and tomato sauce. Now that may sound a tad gross but it was actually pretty good, a little slimy though. LOL On our way to the day spa we had passed some shops and so we returned there so I could get some things to bring home.
For dinner I wanted to go up to to The Peak which his this overlook up on the mountain. You had to take the Star Ferry across the Harbor to Hong Kong Island and then ride a double-decker bus to get to the Peak Tram terminal, then ride the Tram which was on a track at a constant 45 degree angle going all the way to the top of the mountain where The Peak was located. The view from the top was amazing! It was very windy and chilly too, which didn't help my sore throat at all. Dinner was a Bubba Gump's since my cousin's have never been there before. We then returned to our hotel, since we had to pack our things and get ready to go home. Sorry this is so short and abrupt but I need to get some sleep since tomorrow is a travel day.
