Our flight was relaxing. It was nice to just sit after such a busy week of preparing. We took a train from Gatwick to London, and then the tube to White chapel where our flat is. On arrival no one was there, and the key was not under the mat as indicated to us in an email. The wait seemed very long because of how tired we were. A little Irish man came out of his flat while we were waiting. He reassured us that it was normal for renters to have to wait for this flat. He also showed Tim around the area giving him some very useful tips. We were welcome to ask him questions anytime unless he was "pubbing". He pointed out the Holiday Inn nearby just incase no one showed up with our key. We were a little worried but because we were so overtired we got giddy. I'm sure we looked a sight - more like refugees than tourists at this point! In time the cleaning lady arrived and let us in. We put our bags in the room and then forced ourselves to go out even though we were so tired. A ride on the double decker bus helped acquaint ourselves with the city - it was so exciting to see famous things like Elizabeth Tower, St.Paul's Cathedral and London Tower all from our bus window. By 4:30 we were back in our flat and barely functioning. Mariah and I fell asleep by 5:00 and the rest by 7:00.

It is now Monday morning and we are up and very excited to look around today with fresh eyes. We feel recharged and ready to go.
