Back-packing, surviving in the most hiliarious and mind-boggling situations ever, experiencing once in a life opportunities, doing so many things out of my comfort zone, living in different countries, experiencing different cultures and foods, sharing it all with my bestest friend and simply having the time of my life. September 2016-November 2017.
So I might be starting this blog a little late (better late than never, right?) as I've been home from my trip for over 12 months now, however, I feel this is the perfect time for me to reflect and talk about my travel experiences and adventures because at the moment I just don't feel... myself. I've read some other blogs that people have written which describes how they are feeling after a big, life-changing trip and unfortunately, I feel the same: post-travel depression. Yep, it's a thing and I am aware of the connotations the word 'depression' comes with, but to know it's okay not to feel okay and that having itchy feet and home not feeling like 'home' anymore is perfectly normal. People might never even read this blog but I am writing it to express the way I'm feeling in the hope that remembering I have these memories, stories and anecdotes to share might even help other people who are feeling a similar way. Welcome to what is most definitely the best 405 days of my life so far...
