An Asker of Questions
Hey Everyone,
Well, yesterday I visited another country. Guess how far away from me it was? A whopping 20 minute car ride. Yes, that's right, I visited Geneva, Switzerland. It is an absolutely incredible city which is a mix of old world buildings, and high class shops (think Armani, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and the like). I went with my host family and the three kids. Sightseeing with kids? Tricky at best, but after they rode one of the fabulously ornate carousels three or four times, they were ready to do some walking! We past the Hotel de Ville, and walking up the cobbled streets to get a good view of the city. Along the way we passed the famous Place du Bourge de Four where there are tons of cafés and bistros with chairs outside so people can just watch the world go by.
We continued on to a restaurant created for kids called 'Baby Lounge'. Well, this restaurant had us and the kids waiting for our meals for an hour! Hungry kids+long time waiting=a bad idea. However, the place did have toys and games all over the place, so whilst the kids played, the adults sat at the table bored and starving! Good concept, bad follow through!
The news that I have to offer, is that my good friend Cindy and I are commiting to a trip through Europe in 2007. I know that is a long way away, but those of you who know me well, know that I love to plan my trips, and what else could be better. Now, Cindy and I are going to Europe for about four weeks, and then I'll be heading off around the world. That's right, I'll be buying myself a round the world ticket. I'll be going to South Africa, hopefully India, Australia, New Zealand and Hawaii, then back home for some good 'ol university studying. Can't wait!
Until the next installment.
