We reach San Cristobal, all be it a surprisingly un-painful journey. We decided on an overnight travel to save us a day's exploring and a nights keep. After having such a great time in Oaxaca we instantly decided we didn't want to be in San Cristobal and wanted to go back, a good sign when you don't want to leave each place. Arriving at 7am and not being able to check in till 1pm we had a bit of time to burn so perfect excuse to find somewhere for plenty of pancakes for breakfast. We managed to find our hostel just by waddling just through the town for ten minutes, it was a fresh and glaring morning and the street were deserted at this hour. Reaching our hostel we quickly noticed it wasn't really our thing; hippie retreat was our first thoughts. To these travellers shoes, bras and hairbrushes didn't exist there were dazed characters slumped in hammocks and slow 'stoner' music (as I called it) was played over the common area. It was nice but we stuck out a bit to say the least. However, they seemed nice and allowed us to ditch our bags until check in so we could pop back in to town, just around the corner the location was perfect, right in the centre.
The sun was warm and shining all morning over the cities tall buildings, cathedrals and the surrounding mountains. After a slight overdose on sugary hot cakes (pancakes) we both managed to have a sneaky snooze in the square (classy I know).
