I have only a moment, so let me be brief.
After a drive to Nashua, a bus ride, two airplane journeys, and two train rides, I finally landed in Nuremberg.
(Here's a quick quirk: Germans spell it "Nürnberg." English-speakers, however, consider an umlaut to be gaudy. So somehow, over the years, the English world decided to spell the city's name like we heard it, which is a surefire formula to create chaos and confusion among those who communicate via text. Let me say here: You, Blogonauts, are reading a blog that is both text and often celebrates chaos and confusion. Therefore, I will likely spell it BOTH ways!)
Since it was mid-afternoon, I checked into my lovely room and went strolling. If I had sat, or given in to the urges to lie down, jetlag would have turned the remainder of my day into snoring and seclusion. So, no time to waste!
This ambling, informal intro to the city was a delight. A picture being worth at least 880 words, given the European exchange rate, let me direct you to the album of photos tagged for April 6. If they aren't attached to this blog entry, you will find the album under the photos tab.
More details about my experiences will be documented here, approximately as I have them. But right now slumber and dreams are the experiences that are beckoning most strongly.
Blog to you later!
