Its the Last day of contiki and it felt a little sad as we all knew it was coming to an end. We travelled From DC to New York via Philidelpia. We stopped off en route to Philly at the US naval academy, a very prestigious college that you can only gain entry to if recommended by a senator or the president. We had a good time with our older-than-time guide Billy who showed us around. A nice place and very grand. Next we headed upwards to Philly. I was excited by many things in Philadelphia. We went to the Rocky steps, the Rocky music pumping on the bus as we pulled up, i pulled my hood up and sprinted up the steps, stopping at the top for a victory jump up and down. On the way down to see the Rocky statue i bought a rocky T-Shirt, I really must see the film one of these days, LOL. Next up was a Philly cheese steak at a local place and it was pretty damn good, but filling in ways i've never experienced before. We also visted the liberty bell, which was ok. After all this fun was the final leg of our tour: The drive to New York. We hit a bit of a traffic jam upon entering but as we pulled up everyone gawking at the buildings and singing along to Alicia Keys and Jay-Z's Empire state of mind for the 5th time we all realised it was time to say goodbye. We had some solice in the fact that Camille had orgainsed us a place to all meet for dinner that night. Beck and i went and found our Times Square Hostel and got checked in. As it turns out it was a pretty good room at a great rate in an awesome location. We got dressed and headed up to the address on Broadway for the dinner, to say our last goodbyes. The address was wrong! luckily we saw Meghan, Jarrod, Matt and Zuleika getting out of a taxi at the same loaction. We figured there was a "Texas BBQ" about a $20 cab ride away, it turns out it was in Harlem. As we sat, the only white people in the place, and ate our delicious meal, it was evident that we where in the wrong place. But with no-ones number we couldn't find out the right one. We had a good meal and a chat just the 6 of us. We called it a night but agreed to meet up in NY the next day. We headed home via times sq and would you believe it while there we saw Carly and Matt!
