Not much to report I'm afraid, except the interesting tale of the exploding toilet!!! My room here is a little bungalow with it's own verandah, bathroom and ceiling fan. On the first night I kept thinking people were knocking on the door, only to realise that it is the sound of coconuts and limes hitting the roof and bouncing off. Anyway, once I'd learnt to sleep through this I was awoken last night by a very strange bang, followed by what sounded like spraying water. Having shaken off my befuddled sleepy head, I decided that the noise was probably not rain and that some sort of investigation was required (must be the CSI in me). I walked into the bathroom to find myself wading through 3 inches of water and that a pipe at the back of the loo had come off due to a split connection. Fortunately there was a tap I could turn off as reception is closed from 2000 and it was now 0330, and the water appeared to be clean! I am now waiting for a man to return from the plumbers to repair said loo! Until then I must keep my legs crossed. We may be moving in the next few days, so will keep you updated. Sherry xxxx
