Hi there!!!!
Lots to catch you up on.
First and foremost....
Ariana, that is very exciting that you are speaking in assembly! I know you will do an awesome job, so pleased that Grandma and Pop will be there to see it. I am still working on the jumping shoes issue...will sort it out for you!
Reagan, well done on your certificate buddy, looking forward to seeing it and finding out what it is for on Sunday!
The storm does not sound too much fun, but your sleep-overs did!!! Was Milo scared too?
Ma and Pa....you are both awesome, can't say thank you enough for everything you do for us! Not long to go know and you will be relieved of your duties and I will do my best to pamper you!
An update on our travels!
We have had some early starts. Our train ride to Agra was fantastic (Fi, tell Claire it was great, no stress being in the traffic, realtively clean and comfortable...we had a guide put us on the train which made it super easy!).
We saw some wonderful things in Agra, but of course the highlight was the Taj Mahal. Our first visit was in the middle of the day not long after we arrived. It's hard to describe the feeling when you first see it. I was very emotional...it just takes your breath away. I just couldn't believe I was actually standing there looking at it for real...I felt so blessed. Neither of us could wipe the smiles off our faces and we just kept saying, "wow". I was very happy to take 100's of photos! We also had some proffessional ones done, (Phil said he felt like it was his wedding day again!)...and got sucked into to getting so many I may send them out instead of xmas cards this year!!!!!!!!!! JK
As you will see from photo Bri, the Peneer went down a treat and we fully intend to have that again while we are here. The food in the North has been quite different from the South, more like the Indian we know and love, but so delicious! Naan great too Bri!
The traffic has got better and better as we have moved up the country....Fi you need to take some video footage of Suresh mannouvering his way through the traffic in Bangalore...needs to be seen to be believed! We did almost run over a dog today on our way to Jaipur (we arrived at lunch time) and it reminded me of your story Mum and Dad! So many animals just wandering the streets, cows, buffalo, monkies, dogs, goats and Matt, today we actually saw sheep!
The whole trip thus far has been so amazing and had totally exceeded our expectations. We never expected the beauty we have seen, the grace and pride of most of the people and to feel so moved.
The children along the way have been so divine...I did ask Philif we could bring an Indian brother or sister home for you Ariana and Reagan but he said no:( Missing you both heaps and can't wait for huggles on Sunday!
Lynda and Liz, thanks for your messages! We love hearing from home. Liz loved your pic with the man of the moment, thought you looked fantastic!!!!!
Anyway, finally a decent keyboard to type you longer message. Elephant ride to fort tomorrow which Phil is really looking forward to...me...I can't wait for th Samode palace.
Better go before the power goes out (again)!!!!
We love you all lots and lots,
T and P
