We decided to take a slight detour to Munich because we heard such fantastic things about it when we were in Berlin. Whilst it's not quite as impressive as Germany's capital, Munich is still a buzzing place. We went on a walking tour and did what Bavarian people do best-drink! We discovered this unbelievable mexican cocktail bar which served half litre cocktails half price between 5-6. To top this they gave sweeties and marshmallows with every drink! Subsequently, yet again, we ended up drinking far too many but we felt it was a shame not to make the most out of the moosive (and rediculously strong) 4pound mojitos and 3.30 long island ice teas. The food was also incredable, we shall miss that place lots!

Some rather disgusting news: our roommate (a 21year old med student from Devon) who slept in the bunk above Han came back even worse for wear than we were and ended up throwing up all over herself and her bed at around 2.30am-ewww! Hannah was paranoid the sick was going to seep through the mattress onto her but luckily she woke up sick free. Phew.

Muních is full of naked people! Our shower is evidence for this city's love for nakedness. The 'en-suit' in our room is a wooden box (formerly a wardrobe) with a glass door right in the middle of the room. Provided much amusement and I think Han and I have now reached a new stage in our friendship.

For anyone going to Oktoberfest: we have had a sneak preview! The beer tents are currently being constructed, awaiting the arrival of millions of beer barrels.....it's going to be big and messy!
