I took yesterday off from work and Mom & I went to Amsterdam. Mom was so hungry when we got to the station, she needed an ice cream. I will have to remember tht one. We checked into a very Jetzens hotel called Citizen M. It had an automatic rainforest shower, , circular enclosure for a wc, a wall-to wall- fabulous bed , room darkening shades and a programable rainforest wakeup- complete with trumpeting elephants. Mom tried HARD to ignore those. Anyway.......

Sunday- July 31We took our biggest ride yet. We went to Orischot- about 9 k from our house. Go Mom!!!! We had a nice dry ride in;joking with each other about looking around and remaining OUT of the ditch. We had a look around the town and had a really nice lunch outside. Sine it didn't get about 65, it is surprising how comfortable we were. The heat lamps in the ceiling helped. We had a nice leisurely lunch and biked back. We tried to find the famed windmill, but...

Sunday July 24- It rained. It poured. We snored. Monday July 25-Mom took an hour long bike ride. She needs to eat more if she is going to do that.We treid the herring- headless but raw with onions.
