This is my last full day in Paris. It began with a visit to the catacombs. In the guide book, this was described as an eerie place yet fascinating. The weather was much cooler today but I think all this site seeing has taken it's toll on me. I feel very tired. We decided to go to the Orsay Museum as it was suggested by the tour guide on Monday. The line up was so long but moving fairly quickly. We walked through the museum, but I found it difficult to enjoy the pieces of artwork with so many crowding around. I woke up this morning to the sound of duelling car horns. One horn would sound, in retaliation the other horn would blare. Back and forth a dozen times then I think the battle was won by the first one as he must have been pressing it for a minute straight. Needless to say, after that fiasco, I was wide awake. I woke up early this morning to get ready for my day of touring Paris. I decided to go on the free tour similar to the one they offer in London. By free they mean, donation if you want at the end of the tour. I was bothered all night long with our restaurant experience. It then hit me! The time was one hour ahead of London, England. I finished off the day in London with a visit to The Natural History Museum with my friend and his friend who lives here. Yet again, I was amazed at the size of this building. It's exterior was graced with several stone sculptures of animals of all kinds. The line up was of about 300 people waiting for the doors to open.
