Saturday - We drove past Waitomo to the Natural Bridge (magapohue) and walked on a boardwalk through a gorge with a stream running through it. Then there was this great big slab of rock across the gorge. The view was wonderful with all the greenery. When we got over to the other side of the bridge (underneath it) we were on farmland with holey rocks around. We clambered over rocks. We also saw fossils of giant mussels. Then we backtracked to the parking lot.
We drove a little bit further and stopped at Maracopa Falls. A nice walk down and the falls were lovely. They came down in great big sheets. It was really neat. We met some people with a really big expensive news camera. We had lunch at a small restaurant. I had a mini pizza. Then we went near by scout camp place. But went to the beach. We found bunches of fossils. We played in the surf. Then back to Hamilton after a lovely day.
