Greeting from LA! Thanks for the msgs on the msg board guys-it's nice to hear how people are doing back home and talking to some familiar people! :o)

Just to make you all a bit 'greenier' the weather here is absolutely beautiful-the sun's shining brightly and it's even warm enough for ME to wander round in a vest top (YES!! me of all people-the girl that never removes her jumper!!). Been out exploring the big city over the last couple of days...On Saturday we ventured out and conquered the public transport system. Went to Universal studios (fullfilled our childhood dreams, as we all had a derprieved childhood and never got to visit the likes of universal studios and disneyland!!lol)-was much better than i expected-some of the special effects on the rides are amazing! Although think we got the wettest out of anyone we'd seen on the log flume-resulting in us pulling some rather obscure positions under the hand-dryers in the restrooms-got a few strange looks!! Huge complex thou with loads to do-also had huge vilage with loads of places to eat, shop, theatre etc.

Yesterday we went on a ' LA CITY TOUR'-v. touristy of us-but meant we got to see all the sites easily,such as the Hollywood Hills, Venice beach (lot's of oddities there-lol!), Chinatown, Chinese theatre (where the stars in the pavement are!) Sunset strip, Rodeo Drive (Mum and dad: Please send more money-that PRADA bag was just calling out to me brought-SO i can now no longer afford to eat for the remainder of my trip! :o) hehe!), also has a drive round and look at the stars homes....bumping into the likes of Mel Gibson, Madonna,Tom Cruise, Britney Spears, popped round and had tea with the Osbournes!! Took lot's of piccies-well upto the point that my camera battery decided to die on me-bloody typical!!!

Today we're just having a general look about-sprung upon a huge comples with lot's of eateries, shops, cinema, down the road next to us-if only we'd come across when we first arrived!!!Always the way! Have been sampling the local delicacies such as Subway, KFC etc!!yum yum! Although had a FREE bbq and film night @ the hostel last night which was nice!Mind you anything with the word Free in it-sounds appealing to us!

Well best get going-won't get much a tan sat inside an internet cafe! Overall thoui've enjoyed my time in LA-it's a nicer city than i imagined it to be-much cleaner. Just starting to feel @ hom ein the hostel now as well...but i'm ready to move onto the nice white sand and clear seas in FIJI! Flying out of LA @ 10.30 tonight for another 11hour long flight!YAWN! althou hopefully be able to get some sleep as it's an overnight flight-fingers crossed!

Hope you're all well-keep those msgs coming. Thank you also for the txt msgs-sorry not been able to reply but it costs like 25p per txt out here-n i'm a poor traveller now-i have to save money any way i can! Kim, i gave the Cambourne key to joy!!
