Venice is unbelievable. We thought it was a city with water running through it. Actually it is a sea with a city built on top of it. Absolutely unbelievable. Pictures will not do it justice. We have never seen a place so breathtaking. We dont believe that there is anyplace like this in the world. We will try to describe it but words dont do this city justice. There are magnicent monuments coming right to the edge of the water. Magnificent churches where you have to take a boat right to the front door. The view is one that pictures just cant take all in. On land between building is either a waterway or narrow, two people wide, alleys made of cobblestone. We could go on describing Venice but we suggest if you ever come to Europe, make venice your first stop. You will not believe what you see! The food in venice is great. The pasta is perfect, the sauce is perfect, the pizza, perfect also. We could eat a ride the water taxi for a week and be happy.
Venice is a place we never Thought existed. Were in Venice and the only place I could think of to compare it to would be the legendary city of Atlantis. Both are fairytales but were actually in one. Tommorrow we will sight see more, but its hard to believe what we see. It seems like a fairytale. We might video tape a little because pictures, although beautiful, dont really tell the whole story of Venice. Just 3 days into our adventure and if it ended now we would not be dissapointed. One more full day in Venice and off to Rome. We now realize how fortunate we are to be in one of the special places in the world, and its only possible because of our family the people who help us along the way. We love yall, but I think we love Venice a little bit more.
