Spent 10 days in Phuket with my mate from school, Shaun before taking off to Vietnam for my tour. Met some great people from all around the world while out drinking on Bangla Road, the main party strip and home of Phuket's thriving ping pong shows. Spent a day out snorkeling and taking a speed boat to Phi Phi Island (5 x 225hp engines....insane). Also did a day out elephant trekking and white water rafting. This was a lot of fun and well worth the money. Went to Phuket Zoo and a Snake Show for a day as well. Other than that we spent the rest of the trip resting around the pool/beaches and wandering the endless markets. On our last night we went to a Muay Thai boxing event and went to what we finally decided was a tourist attraction, Ping Pong show, of which we lasted about half an hour and left mortified.
