Tony Playford
Slept like a log for ten hours with all the windows thrown open and a lovely warm breeze. Did the tourist thing on the open top bus this morning, to get the lie of the land. It's just a nice city. niothing special.
It's where James Joyce lived for a long time before he went to Paris. He didn't like Dublin very much. ny writer with a wife called Nora Barnacle is someone to be reckoned with.
Landed in an apartment opposite the Teatro Rossetti, which has a cafe I like.In the artist quarter.
Out of town, up a bloody great hill, is where they all sun bathe and swim in the sea. Not sure how you go uphill to the sea!
And there's topless sunbathing; not just the men!!!
