13.04.07 - I got up for my big adventure today were we was sent down to the bar in the Hostel to get set up for our weekend. Their is quite a few people down here and we have been told their is going to be 4 vehicles going out all filled with 11 people. The groups have been sorted and we was told their was only 3 driver r.equests me being one of them, I was placed in a group of 9 girls and one other bloke which could go either way as to how fun it is, but they all look cool plus I already know a couple of them through the ozexperience coach. We head out down to the largest sand island on the planet which is Fraser Island. Our first stop is a place called Lake McKenzie which is has stunning views, We stayed here for a few hours just chilled while. We was their 2 girls Joy and Tina both wanted to be buried and made into a sand mermaid bringing out my artistic side, I also called a few of the girls over to help sort out the assets. We had to be back at camp by 4pm to beat the tide also to set up our tents now me and the other bloke thought this was going to be one big job turned out not to be as the girls got straight in their and we just had a few beers and relaxed. The tent situation ended up with a guy in either tent plus 4-5 women to share. Dinner was then started later were we had a BBQ plus lots of alchol dont think I will be feeling to good in the morning.
14.04.07 - Rough as a dog I am, plus I am the one who is suppose to be driving today which I cant see being a great move. We headed out to a place called the Champaigne pools which was quite cool but involved one hell of a treck as we had to leave the vehicles at one point cause we was not insured past that point. We then left after an hour or so and headed back down the beach to visit the ship wreck, Disaster our tyre blows out halfway down the beack were we have no phone signal. Me and Jorn try our dam best to get the Jack on but it just keeps sinking down into sand we tried putting stones underneath but still not joy! Thankfully Shelley manages to find a huge chunk of wood which managed to hold it but was a race against time as it started to crack in the middle but we sorted it. Once the wheel was sorted we carried on down the beach and led the shipwreck quite a cool spot. We all take some photos but unfortunatley for me my bad luck remains and my camera is fu**ed dont know how or what has happened but can it reallt get any worse! luckily I could swap my memory card over and still manage to captue the photos I wanted. Home time soon came again were we all drank again tonight then headed down the beach with the rest of the groups.
15.04.07 - Feeling quite fresh compared to yesterday morning which is always good, This morning we had to take all the tents down then get everything packed away before we set off. We headed out to a place called Lake Wabby which is covered by Sand dunes, When we arried their a group of people had some body boards and offered us a go. Me being me jumped at the chance then down I went it was awesome as I headed down the dune I hit the jump then headed out into the water were I ended up halway in the lake. We then then left headed back for lunch plus the ferry was due back at 4 so we made sure we gave ourseleves enough time and set off 1 hour early as we arrived their we all jumped out waiting for the ferry we all realised we were being feasted on by sand flies these things were everywere and ferry could not get here soon enough. As we arrived back we were charged $50 for the blow out and thankfully that was it. We then had a chilled out night round the hostel bar before hitting the hay.
