Copenhagen wasnt somewhere i would ever look foward to going too, for me to begin with it was an over night stop, so i didnt have the same problem i did in Gothenburg, getting off the train i'd use my map to find my hotel, folowing the crowd, i found myself walking through the city centre, getting to a point where there was roadworks and having to cut through a park, it was nice and quite until i had to drag my suitcase over the stoney ground, of course my map said go right, i went left. finding myself looking at buidlings that all looked the same, where i stopped a lady coming out of a diffrent hotel, walking me to the correct door, i found this hostel/hotel, checking in, i walked into a basic ground floor room with a sink in, the windows were open but so high up i couldnt reach without hanging off the wall.
I was warm here, i went out in a vest and leggings, i was desprate to find the mermaid statue, i had pinned it onto my map, walking in that direction, i found myself at some miltary base, along the harbour.
I couldnt find this statue, but manged to find other sites to see, it was now late, my battery was dead and i couldnt remember the way back to the hotel, after what felt like forever walking, i made my way back, tomorrow i will make my way to berlin, where i will stay for 5 days, no moving hotels, and no trains!
After what i had originally though about Copenhagen, i was completely wrong, I loved this place.
