28/12/2010 Very relaxed day in which I got burnt to a crisp. Me and Jacques used a pick-axe and spade to dig a trench for a toilet pipe about 12-feet long. In the evening played yet more chess and I'm embarrassingly 10-5 down. The card game speed introduced to us by Will in Malawi we decided was bulls*** as we were constantly disagreeing with one another's actions! 27/12/2010 Snorkelling again I came across more barracuda and plenty of fish. The cornetfish is a relatively new one, really thing but not very long, hovering above the reeds on the shallow bottoms. Today we went to the town of Nacala for the very first time, experiencing the local market. Purchased some nutty-flapjack-looking things that were very sugary for 10p but not so nice. 26/12/2010 Another early rise and I filled in some more of my dive book.At least today was more laid back making hot dogs on the beach (though only one person bought one) and selling drinks. We had plenty of time to blare out Jack's iPod from some speakers which you could hear whilst out snorkelling! Enjoyed the sun and saw maybe up to 100 different types of fish along with tonnes of jellyfish (of which I was stabbing with sticks and called the sport jellyfish...

25/12/2010 Spoke to Laura for the first time in months, nice to speak to someone familiar, I've been pretty terrible with keeping in contact with people but it's expensive and slow to use the internet or phone! Considering it was Christmas day it really didn't feel like it. Knowing that everyone at home was knee-deep in snow, I wasn't too fussed because I was in scorching 40-degree heat. 24/12/2010 Very much a make-sure-everything-is-tidy day. Not many customers for food, managed a snorkel, filled in my dive book and was in bed fairly early.
