We arrived at 6am and walked for a kilometer to the Loki hostel, a renouned party hostel. Sadly, we could not check-in until 1pm so slept in the hammocks in the hostel until we could. The afternoon was spent either playing pool or table tennis. In the evening we got to know some Swiss girls who were in a our room and met some Swedish and Icelandic girls who we invited to play drinking games with us. We were all drunk rather rapidly and after the bar had closed we all headed to the beach to finish our drinks. When we were once more out of alcoholic beverages we found our way to a small beach club that was still open and partied some more before leaving calling it a night around 5am.
Surprisingly, the next day was a complete write off as I achieved nothing (despite promising myself and many others that i would have surf lessons)! At 6.30pm I finally surfaced from bed for the day and started drinking. We played more drinking games, and this time had also recruited 3 Canadian girls before again heading to the beach for a slightly more chilled evening.
Next day was slow starting, but in the afternoon we managed to wander into town to book bus tickets, and I even managed a hair cut. As i was on a role i also visited the beach for the first time during sunlight hours - it was very pretty! I went for a swim on my larry and watched the sunset over a beer with the boys!
That evening we played some savage drinking games that annihalted everyone - it was fun! After we walked down the beach to a full moon party that was on at different hostel and partied even harder than I had previously. On the walk home it was necessary for some skinny dipping before calling it a night in the early hours!
Our final day in Mancora was pleasant due to the absence of a hangover. I woke up at midday. We checked-out and lounged about in the hammocks (and witnessed to Aussie blokes fall straight through one). In the afternoon we went into town for some food, but otherwise just relaxed in the hostel, which has everything you could need. That evening we caught the night bus to Loja in Ecuador, which also stopped at the border so we could the relevent paperwork completed. The bus was also shocking and crammed but then I couldn't leave Peru in style could I!
