Hey dudes, long time no speak and for very good reason!
I htink the last time i wrote on this was Durban in South Africa (while under the influence) since this we have climbed mountains, traveled hundreds of miles, moved between various countries and had some amazing times! So as per usual i am going to do a brief encounter in the travels of me!
Durban
As previously written we had an amazing time in Durban with Gaye, John and Richard! They are prob the smartest family ever created and they played amazing hosts for the week! We got an amazing behind the scenes tour of the Durban Aquarim with sharks and all sortes, water park entrance, dolphin shows, BBQ's and loads more. Was great!
Drakensberg National Park
From Durban we headed the long drive to the national park, it was beautiful, loads of mountain and emptyness, reminded me of home so much! The roads leading to it where awful and poor Chico (car) got another battering! We met with Richard and 9 others and we stayed in some kool cottages for three nights, had big group dinners and drinkies each night, in the middle of no where! We went treckingeach day around the mountains. Me Charlie and Collie being the fools we are decided to go of the track and climb up a massive mountain with no trail, safe to say it was the dodgyest and scariest thing i have done and it took us 4 hours to find our way back, as it was to dangerous to walk back down the way we came, that was great fun but not to be recomended! Stick to the track children! We trecked round the hills for the 3 days and swam in waterfalls and all sorts! Was awesome!
Mtuba Tuba
Headed up north to Kelly's aunties house! She runs her own Safari (Hluhluw) so we got to go on a Safari for really cheap, it was one of most amazing experiances. We saw lions about two meters away from us, white / black rhino, chita, pack of 16 wild dogs, buffalo, birds, vultures and much more! Check out the photos on facebook they are amazing!
We spent the rest of our time here living it up and farting around, going to have a game of golf and some other random stuff like that! We also went on the Croc and Hippo boat trip which was amazing, we saw about 40 hippos and a few croc's! Did u know that a hippo can run 44kph and is one of the worlds most dangerous animals, so tip to you all, dont go near any, they are mad things!
Joberg
So we left our american friends behind in Mtuba Tuba and headed up to Joberg the day before we flew out! It was a really long drive but Chico survived, against all odds! We didnt stay in Joberg due to it being aparantly really dodgy but we got all done that we needed to do and got ready to head on our way for our next adventure!
South Africa is an amazing country, it is HUGE! We had so many amazing experiances and met so many kool people! From jumping of the biggest bridge jump in the world to shark diving to mountain climbing, it as amazing and exactly my cup of tea! I will defo go back in the future and see the rest of the amazing country!!
Next Adventure
Singapore
So we headed of and in true Collie / Tommy style we made friends with the air crew and got a bit merry on the planes! We met Zoe in Abi Dabi and then Katie in Singapore! It was brilliant! It was so ngood to see Katie at the airport and we started a new adventure together!
Singapore was really nice, very expensive but very nice, clean and well developed! We couldnt afford to drink much as it was like 5pounds for a drink but we walked around the city during the day and night, was really kool! It was also very very warm so myself and Katie made the trek to the beach, took us a while to get there and it aint the nicest in the world but we went for a nice swim and had an icecream! Was really good!
From Singapore we wanted to get to Thailand so we organised for a train to Kuala Lumpar, we had thought about stauing for a night here ut it was also expensive and we found a bus to Thailand so we thought we would get all the distance covered at once. So we set on our way for the long Journey to Thailand!
Thailand
Great to be back! In true style we hit a slight problem on the way into the country, we had thought u could get a 30day visa but we were only allowed a 15day visa due to entering by road! This let us stay up until 11th June, however Katies flight was on 12th June in early mornings, at the time of writting this Katie is currently waiting at Bangkok airport and we are hoping it will all be ok and they wont say anything! Fingers crossed!
We travelled from south Thailand to the islands, we spend time in Krabi, Phi Phi, Ko Samui,Ko Pang Yang and Bangkok!
We had some amazing times on the islands, which included a tour around Mia Beach (where the film THE BEACH was shot)! We had a few buckets from time to time and enjoyed the sun, sea and sand! Luckily we also had the opertunity to go to the FULL MOON PARTY which was brilliant. I was spoilt tho as Katie paid for a luxary private hut in a 5 star resort for three days, we enjoyed amazing views from our private hut, air con, clean sheets, a pool and loads more, it was really special! Lets just say i didnt try and talk Katie out of doing that idea hahahah
We ended up in Bangkok and spent a few days going to the markets and having a good time! No Ping Pong show for me on this occassion but hey iv seen it all before!
Currently i have just landed in Cambodia and the next adventure has begun, i have only been here a few hours but im told it is like Thailand 30years ago so it will be interesting! The hostel already leaves alot to be desired!
So until the next time dudes, i hope you are all well! I will try get all my photos on facebook in the next couple of days as i have loads of them!
Take it handy
Tommy xx
