Tom - World Tour!
So I arrived in Picton mid afternoon and was greeted by a torrential downpour litterally just as we stepped off the ferry! Picton is litterally a small port which I stayed in for one night to catch the bus to the town of nelson and the Abel Tasman national park. After arriving in Nelson, another transfer bus drove to a tiny village called Marahau on the edge of the Abel Tasman park. The accommodation was a little rustic, appropriately named \'The Barn\' but was pretty cool and I met a couple of girls who were the first people from the south west easily distinguished by the Bristonian accent! There was another couple of guys who who we later met on the west coast as I get the feeling there is a standard travellers route! The Abel Tasman had awesome beaches with clear blue/green seas and yellow beaches. It was good t trek up the coast for the day and even crazier was to see Kai walking up as I was walking back with a guy from Auckland who we met when we first arrived!!
The next day we returned to Nelson and finally caught back up with Kai at the bus stop at 6.30am to Franz Josef in the morning as he had managed to get back to Nelson the day before!!
