We collected our snorkels, maks and flippers at about half 11 this morning and headed to the beach. even off teh beach theres a massive amount of fish, theres Snapper swimming around ur ankles and when you go out only a few metres snorkelling yo u could see amazingly coloured fish of blues, greens, whites, blacks, yellows, reds.......so after a quick snorkel and a few photos on the beach we got aboard our glass bottomed boat for the next few hours, Miss Coral Bay 2 ( we didnt ask what had happened to the original Miss Coral Bay!!!). I really cant describe how amazing and exhilerating I found the snorkelling and I'm defo going to do my scuba diving PADI once we get to Thailand! We did 2 snorkels from off the boat. The first at a spot called 'The Aquarium', the main types of coral here were brain coral and deer antler coral and although the coral itself wasnt as vivid in colour as I'd expected the deep blues and greens were still really cool. We saw an amazing array of colourful fish and then did a second snorkel around a 4 metre high piece of cylindrical coral that wasfull of aqautic life are looked amazing!
We were only on the boat for about 2 and a half hours but for $35 it was defo money well spent and one of the best things I've done so far! After a quick lunch back at the vans we went back for another snorkel off the beach and then at half 4 unfortunatly had to give the gear back.
Having another early night tonihgt as we've an early start in the morning. we're driving from Coral Bay to Monkey Mia to see the world famous Monkey Mia dolphins.
Today was a great day!
