You may all be shocked when i say this................. Im having a good time in Ayr! No doubt thats just due to the fact that all my rent is now paid and i know im leaving in 10 days, i am smiling ear to ear all day long! I have had a really good few days though, Started my new job last Thursday at BSES, its still working with Sugar Cane but all we do is use the forklift to lift the bundles off and tie rope around them, and the fact we get paid $20 an hour to do that is crazy, we are working hellish long days though, we only got back at 7.30pm yesterday! Arggghhhh! Its only the 3 of us working there so we do have a good laugh while working. I seem to be plagued by illness at the moment, i cant shake the b****** thing off! I woke up this morning and could not speak as my throat was in so much pain....... im thinking it may be tonsilitus again, thats twice this year! So as you can imagine, you know i like to talk............ and sing................ but i have not been able to say anything today which is a pain in the ass. The day was cut short luckily as we ran out of straps for the cane so we got back to the hostel at about 2pm. I worked at the Water Festival on Saturday, 5am - 9am and 5pm - 1am so a very tiring day. In the morning we set up the fair and in the evening we ran it! It was so much fun a real nice change from harvest work. Had a difficult decision to make at the end of the shift though as i was offered a job, basically it involved travelling around Australia setting up the fairs and running them, an absolute dream job, but when it came down to the job or Thailand, there was only ever going to be one outcome, i have worked far to hard over the last 5 weeks to get to Thailand and not going was not an option for me. So plans are all set and they are not changing this time! Managed to get to the pub at about 2am on Saturday morning, they were open untill 6am as it was festival night, i met Ann and we deciede to go downstairs instead as it was ridiculously busy in the club, just sat chatting and drinking for 3 hours or so......... soon after i was having to virtually carry her back to the hostel as she had been out drinking most the night. When we got back i cooked a full English breakfast to make her feel better but we ended up washing that down with a box of Goon. We were sat having a cuddle in the garden and everyone was going to work! We finally went to bed at about 7am and crashed out till 2.30pm that afternoon, both woke up and went for ice cream, it was lovely but expensive as we had to buy it from the s*** supermarket round the corner as it was a Sunday. Cycled down to the chip shop that night to grab us both some dinner and just headed back to the hostel and relaxed. Was back at work Monday as we have a busy week ahead of us and needed to start well. Had a half day today as we ran out of cane straps and stuff so managed to get back to the hostel at a decent hour and actually have a hot shower........... heading out for some dinner with Ann tonight so cant eat anything now.......... im so hungry! Not much else to report on, i have been on the internet for 2 hours and need to take a s*** so i am going to have to go...................
