Having been stranded in Mackay for 3 days due to the cyclone we were both really looking forward to doing the Whitsundays sailing trip. When we arrived the weather was still not great but it showed no signs of improving. Rather than waiting around we decided to go for it and booked our trip to leave the next day. It rained a little bit, and at times a lot but in between we had patches of gorgeous sunhine and got to see the beautiful islands!

We did a scuba dive on the second day which was stunning! Saw loads of tropical fish and 2 huge turtles!!! In the evening we spotted sharks over the side of the boat as they came up searching for squids to eat! That evening the boat was really rough and we didnt get much sleep all night.

The following morning was nice again though and we went snorkelling. We had a near death experience with a Lion's Mane jellyfish which was enormous and orange. Both really glad to have done it, despite the weather! Whitehaven beach was still amazing!
