Thirtieth Stop Airlie Beach and the WhitsundaysWe arrived in Airlie on the 25th of May and had a quiet night before we set sail on the Whhitsundays' party boat, "The Tongara". The Tongara is a small catamaran, it was cramped and uncomfortable which actually added to the charm of the occasion as sleeping out on deck, even though we got soaked the first night, was worth the trip. The trip as a whole was good but we always felt it could have been better. It didn't quite live up to its reputation as the party boat. The best thing that happened was on the second night when we parked up for the night next to the British Defender another boat with a mix of people from Fraser Is and surf camp. They started taunting us with various songs such as "shall we sing a song for you" and "can you hear the Tongara sing". With what Andy replied with à am the music man" and for about 10 or so minuets it went back and fourth "pia?pia?piano". We arrived back at Airlie and had a big night out. The whole boat went to Reefos then we met up with the Fraser Is crew. In Paddy Shenanigans Brian and Gav performed one of the best dance routines since Napoleon Dynamite. It has to be seen to be believed. Then we made our way to Townsville and Magnetic Island?
