Monday 2 June, Day 8 We arrive on schedule at Ambryn and anchor off the island. We take the tender to shore for what was supposed to be a strenuous 3 hour tour, 2 hours of which was a walk into the hills through the jungle to Fana village. Saturday 31 May, Day 6. A relaxed morning at the Sheraton Villas as we only have to check-out at 1.00pm. Our taxi to the wharf at Lautoka should take half an hour (Fiji time) and we cannot get on to the Paul Gaugin before 3.00pm. Tuesday 27 May. Day 4. All was not well with our 2 bedroom apartment. Flyscreens needed repair, non of the 3 TV's worked properly, our bedroom was a freezing 17°C and we could not change the AC, and the clock would not work. Saturday 24 May, Day 1 Met up with Alan & Jo at the Qantas check-in at 10.00am as planned. The plane over to Sydney was an A330, but we left more than 20 minutes late due to head winds.
