The Rotunda of Mosta is the third largest unsupported dome in the world. This church was nearly destroyed in WWII when an Axis bomb was dropped on it into the congregation but failed to explode. Years later the bomber visited the dome to ask for forgiveness for his act. Also, there are two clocks on the front of the dome, similar to every other church in Malta. Once clock is set to the correct time, while the other is set incorrectly so that the devil will never know when mass is occurring.
