Just walked around the area where we are staying. Tom we are less than half a block from the entrance to the cistern. Spent a good hour at a carpet store looking at carpets. It hasn't changed...still a hard sell. It is really beautiful here. I enjoyed walking around and just taking in the spirit that is here. Just got through a call to prayer. Very loud. Can't wait until tomorrow AM!!

I am on Turkish Air. Not sure how I lucked out but I am Ina business type seating. They call it comfort section. Plenty of leg room. Even better there is hardly anyone in this section. One pleasant surprise is the cherry juice they served. I have only had it in this part of the world. The travel magazine highlighted Baku and surrounding area. I was pleasantly surprised to find I had been to all of them! All for now
