17/01/09 we didn't head to the table tennis bar in the end, just watched some terrible mtv television and played table tennis a bit in the hostel. today, our last day in Berlin we took the s-bahn train to Potsdam, a small town just outside Berlin, where i got my self some good big German sausage and we generally strolled around. Potsdam is a very pretty little old town in which i was almost expecting horses and carts to come trotting down the streets. there was also a H&M in which emma purchased a top or 2... and strangely its a lot more expensive to buy clothes in europe than england now. that evening being the last night we hit the drink again (inevitably) and later decided to go to a club... however me and Emma couldnt find a cash point, so couldnt afford to get in, so bought a bottle of vodka and stayed up till 5 drinking it... oh dear

16/01/09 Yesterday was very chilled to start off, we woke late, wondered around the center a bit and generally relaxed during the day, in the evening however we joined the "666 anti pub crawl" which was absolutely hilarious - we went to a goth bar, gay bar, table tennis bar, blood hound gand party bus, and some other places - very worth doing as we got to see some crazy places/people (some random finnish girl started tagging along at one point and coming on to emma?). any who, not much exciting happened today either - other than spending my last euro on lots of spaghetti to keep me going till sunday. we might head back to the table tennis bar tonight.

14/01/09 today we decided to go on an "alternative tour" ran by some guys from the hostel to see some cool graffit, some random abandoned buildings and "beach bars", and most randomly of all westcoast customs (as in from pimp my ride) - was really good.i

(11,12,13)/01/09 the last 3 days have been great, i´m feeling lazy (hense the last 3 days in 1). we´ve met some really great people we´re staying with (again not english, but kiwi oz and scottish) and had a couple of funny evenings, as well as seeing the berlin wall, reichstag, checkpoint charlie, jewish museum and memorial, alexanderplatz and the cathedral and potsdamer platz etc... we are currently staying in east berlin which is both cheap and great fun, and i deffinately sugest it to any of you interested in coming. Berlin so far is damn brilliant.

10/01/09 We awoke today at 5am (yay) to catach the 6.59 train to Cologne where we would transfer to a train to Berlin, arriving by 2.30... at 7.35am our train broke down. eventually we arrived in Berlin however (after 5 trains and 5 additional hours) and found a hostel in eastern Berlin easily... ate food had a beer going to sleep.
