Walked all over Paris and was ecstatic to be surrounded by beautiful buildings and monuments. Unfortunately, the Louvre is closed on Tuesdays. Still very happy to walk and see all the sights that I have read about. Once again, our dear Dr. Goggin happily gave us a tour and history lessons. The city blocks in Paris are huge making it a challenge to get from one street to the next. Street names are located on the side of the buildings. Went to the 'Canadian Pub' and ordered a drink in true Canuck fashion, eh. All was lost on the young French waitress. Had dinner in a small brasserie in St. Michelle, the best meal we have had! We took the subway back to our hotel, a bit confusing when you don't knowhow to get from point A to B. None the less it was a great experience. Paris, despite the rain is spectacular. Wish we could stay longer.
