So over the next two and a bit days were gonna be sailing around the whitsundays. This is the bit I most look fwd to on this east coast trip. It was an early start for the drive down.
We stopped in a place called Townsville for lunch which was beautiful. Such a holiday destination. Amazing views from the hill too. After lunch we carried on the trek down to airlie beach. Once we got there about 4ish we were dropped of at the marina so we could get straight on the boat.
Just had a small rucksack to take on board as there wasn't gonna be much space. The boat was called British defender and the crew were Heidi, Ben n dan.
We got on board and went down. The beds were tiny n the space was sooooo small. Some people got lucky with the bigger beds. I've been on boats before so was expecting something similar but it was very different. The toilet was fine but no proper shower. It was a shower head attached to the sink which pulled out and we were only allowed to use for 30secs lol. No shampoo or conditioner allowed too hehe. My bandana was staying on the whole trip n it did :)
Once we put all our stuff down we were sent back up so we could get a sail in before it was too late. We were told the boat could tip pretty much vertically which sounded kinda scary but turned out to be ok. The sail was really cool and sunset was amazing. We parked the boat up and that's where we stayed for the night. Had food n some drinks and star gazed :)
I tried to sleep on deck but it kinda got cold after a while so I went back in after a few hrs but was nice was I was there...
