Before we left Abel Tasman we got the chance to plant a native tree at the campsite. Wonder if we'll ever get a chance to go back and see it. Today we had a full day at Abel Tasman to explore the beautiful park and beaches. We got a water taxi to part of the park and did a 12km walk back to the campsite. The walk was beautiful. A nice early start to the day again so that we could do the 20km walk at the Tongariro National Park. Not something I was particularly looking forward to as Id never done this length of walk before let alone hike and climb a volcano.
