We were up early for the boat back to Gili Trawangan and took the little island hopper back across, but frankly we may as well have swam! The water was extremely choppy and we all got drenched with each wave to hit the boat, it didn't help that we'd been told that one of the boats had sunk the previous day and all the passengers had to be rescued!
We arrived back in Gili T and headed back to our hotel, we arrived to a very surprised hotel owner who asked how we got on to the island, apparently the boats from Bali had all been cancelled due to bad weather and werent due to run for another 3 days! Which fortunately didn't bother us at all as we just extended our stay.
It was a lovely day on Gili T so we spent the day by the pool. We met another couple from London (who both used to work for RBS!) and then another couple on their honeymoon also from London joined us. After we all spending too long gas-bagging in the pool we realised we looked slightly pink (no it easnt just me for once!) and headed for lunch together. At lunch it started pouring with rain again so we went back to our rooms for DVDs again.
We met up again in the evening for dinner and drinks and after a few cocktails ended up at the dark moon party on the beach.
The following day we met again for breakfast and dinner. It absolutely poured down all day and by the evening the main street had a river running down it. Robin also got a text from home warning him of a Tsuani warning in indonesia all very dramatic! We went for a walk in the rain to book our boat back to Bali the following day, however, after wading up the road for a while we decided the storm had won and headed back.
The next day we got the nausea express back to Bali and checked back into our hotel in Kuta. We sat outside our room for a bit and and a Chinese kid came and started speaking to us in broken english (much to our dismay, robin was getting ill at the point and wasnt in the mood for a chat) the boys dad, who didnt speak english then came over, not to collect his child, but to stand and watch him talking to us!
Robin was ill so we spent afternoon in bed watching tv and lo and behold, the Chinese kid knocked on our door asked of he could come in! Er...NO!
Next morning at 8am - knock knock, guess who...a little Chinese kid who won't leave us alone. I told him he couldn't come in and he stood behind the net curtain looking in! Ahhhh! Thankfully we had an early flight to Singapore so we managed to get away!
