Our flight from Colombia into Brazil was somehow cheaper to fly via San Andres with a 4 hour stopover and then to Panama City with a 2 hour stopover before heading into Manaus, Brazil. FOUR hours on a Caribbean paradise island...waiting lounge on the beach!

So as we're speeding out of arrivals dodging the slow poke people with snorkel and googles in hand I notice our luggage on the carousel. WAIT! I stopped in mid skip, snorkel in the air...In addition I think Tim's bag is in a puddle...oh no, the wine!
So Tim ended up having to unpack everything, clothes and gadgets spread out all over the floor, wring out clothes, throw away the broken glass while I had the task of drying important documents by flapping them in mid air and redirecting people around our conquered territory (I learnt a lot from the flight attendant). We even had the security guard bring the bin over to us and then stand there true SA car guard style, one hand on hip, arbitrarily pointing to different items sprawled across the floor which he thought Tim should attend to next *sigh!!* so! After that episode we recheck the bags and request FRAGILE stickers to be put on the bags...the official Copa air response is that they do not use fragile stickers and it's our responsibility to pack carefully! Arghh! So good luck for the flight to Panama City and then Manaus remaining little bottles :(

Enough time wasted and smelling like true alcoholics we ran across the airport parking lot to the beach! In 5 min I had my tootsies in the fine white sand, looking onto the blue blue water and licking an ice cream...aaaahh! We relaxed at the seaside for as long as possible and 10 min more before racing back to the airport in our cozzies, clothes flapping in our hands. The security lady there wasn't too impressed with our 'baywatch' run through the lounge to the security gate and we got bounced! Hahaha! I wish someone had filmed us...'shoes and NO wet clothes!' she screamed in a Jamaican accent as we scooted into the nearby bathrooms. Feeling a whole lot better we lined up in the security queue and made in onto the plane with plenty of time...why we rushing?! Should've stayed 5 min more for another drink! Hahaha.
