Im currnetly in bruges, belgium.
On sunday night we took overnight bus to paris. Spent day walking around PAris. WE went to Notre DAme cathedral and to the lourve. Then just walked around. The nest day we hopped on coach to belgium to bruges, a medieval town. ThAT AFTERNOON we walked around bruge. Its a really cool town qwith cobbled streets and really old buildings. There are 2 main squares in the town. MARKT AND Burg. naRKT HAS THE EUROPE'S BIGGEST BRICK TOWER. IT IS a belfry (bell tower). Im going to clinb iut tomorrow. We also went to hello street (belgium haS 2nd biggest suicide rates in europe) which haS SIGNS THAT TELL YOU TO SAY HELLO TO YOUR FELLOW pedestrians. Bit disappointing...only one small sign. Also saw a windmill...awesome. Went to the HOly blood chapel which claims to have a vial of chrsit's blood. Also, the crown plaza hotel hAS IN IT'S basement old remains of SAint Donnas church andyou can go down and have a look. PRetty cool. I the evening we went and had beligiun beer. I haD A FEW INCLUDING CHERRY AND PASIONFRIUT (AWESOPME becasue they don't really taste like beer!!
Our 2nd day (today spent in bruges) josh and I went on a tour of the WW1 area of YPRES (Ipers). Great day. We went to heaps of commonwealth war memorials AND LEARNT ABOUT thebattle of Ypres and the Battle of Passchendaele (passion+dell). We also went to Tyne Cot (worlds biggest commonwealth war grave site). Learnt about the first use of gas in warfare in these battles to devastating effect. Also went to Hill 60 (an amazing place). But ill have to explain the trest in a FEW DAYS. Once again I apologisew for the crappy tyoing. All the keyson these pads type different letters to qhat they have on them.
