Good day for the most part. Winds increased to 15-17 knots We are sailing with spinnaker and the main sail and the seas are pretty calm. The excitement of the day was the setting of the spinnaker where and downhaul got loose causing the spinnaker to flap. Greg lost his baseball cap in the maneuver and we did try and circle back and catch it. We never found it and we had a moment of silence for it's loss.
We had bologna sandwiches with cheese and celery side dishes for lunch The weather report Yves' friend sent us says that we can catch the back end of a low pressure system and get favorable winds in the right direction from 20-30+ knots for the next few days starting tomorrow. Yves prepares the ditch kit and we review the procedures and also take inventory of the flares and other safety items (better safe and to plan for the worst).
For dinner we ate topside the last of Greg's Sheppard's Pie.
