Tim, Chris and Edd´s And James's Long Ol' Adventur
Hi,
okay firstly, neither of the 2 photos with this postcard are from Laos it's just that the site doesn't have any and I can't upload my photos. But I wish I could to show you all what an incredible time I'm having out here.
I went across the Thai - Lao border about a week ago and once there, Toby went off to Luang Prabang and I with slightly more time hitch hiked my way up here. The roads are the worst I've ever seen but is all cool. Riding in the back of pick ups, construction vehicles and generally anything that moves is such a cool way of seeing the country as I hop from one tiny village to another. The children are amaed to see a white person and crowd around wihle the adults gawp at the 6 ft 3 guy trampling through.
Have spent the last 2 days on a hill tribe trek which was knackering but fun with these tiny animal crowded, no electricity or anything, eat food with fingers....you get the picture places. But was sooooo incredibly hot and the leeches were out in force.
So now am wondering when I'm gonna leave for the next town and whether it's worth staying up till 1 for the Germany game or whether even if I do, the electricity's gonna cut out half way through. Hmmmm. Nothing too reliable over this side of the world.
Chris
