When one says Ireland, many automatically imagine a lush landscape, and humorous leprechauns dressed in green, drinking beer, dancing and getting up to mischief. While this idea is an excellent old age stereotype , it is not far from the truth, and this is why Ireland, is one of my favourite places in the world. Never before have I met such warm and welcoming, family orientated people with fun loving personalities that brings joy to all around. The Republic of Ireland has so much history, still raw and real to this day, that any time under a month is not enough to experience just a taste of all this picturesque country has to offer. The landscape is dotted with monastery's, stone walls, grave yards sunken into soil, and castles dating back to
times unimaginable. A friendly greeting by a true Irish person to a foreigner will most likely be an insult to that persons culture in such a way, that it is not insulting at all, and sparks banter incomparable to any other culture, other than that found in Australia.
