Today is our last day of holidays. Tomorrow doesn't count as we will be travelling and unpacking, so not looking forward to that!
Carol came to the hotel after dropping her kids to school and she came in the restaurant while we had breakfast. She then took us on a little too drive around and we went to see the kids school. Then she dropped us at the Gardens by the Sea just as it started t pour with rain.
At the park those we went into the Cloud Dome which was amazing. There were cloud forest plants including loads of flowers, a waterfall, sculptures from wood and at 12 they released the mist which made it really foggy. The flowers were beautiful. Then a lunch break before going into the Flower Dome which had a special exhibit of orchids. It started with the cacti plants and there was a Mediterranean section, Australian section, South America etc. a lot of it as covered in orchids, I had no idea there were so many different kinds. There was also some huge and very old olive trees there. It was lovely and cool,in the domes but outside it was in the high 30's and very muggy.
We wandered through the rest of the gardens and at the end was a huge sculpture of a baby, it was very white and a bit weird if you ask me. Dad bought us an ice cream, they have different flavours in Singapore, I had Kit Kat and chocolate and Darcy had Snickers Mars honeycomb vanilla. They even had black sesame which was black and looked awful.
Then we walked around Marina Bay ( walking through the Marina Bay Hotel, which looks like a boat got lost on top of it) and caught the Metro back to the hotel and caught of taxi to the airport. Sadly our holiday was nearly over.

Polly It's sad for me too that your holiday is nearly over as I've loved every bit of your blogs.. I do think that you and Clancy should travel around the world together and write food blogs as he has drooled over all your meal!!! I hope Dad doesn't expect you and Darcy to go straight back to school as you both need another holiday to get over this one, you definitely made the most if it.. Cannot wait to catch up to hear more stories and see loads of photos.. Love Polly
