I still have a mild fever and diarrhea Reading the Lonely planet it says i should not take imodium if i have a fever or bloody stools. I have both. Armed with the Lonely Planet I decide to visit the boats doctor to try and get some antibiotics. Pointing out words like diarrhea (diarréia) and fever (febre) so she knows my symptoms. I then point to antibiotics. She speaks in Portuguese and gives me 3 types of pills and a medicine. None of them appear to be antibiotics. We both frustratingly try to get our points across. In the end I say in Sign language that I have imodium and just decide it will be easier for me to take the medicine, paracetamol and some pill I have know Idea what it is, but I have to take it for 3 days.
The weather has turned again. It's raining. Stevie is bored of the boat. She has packed up most of her stuff in anticipation of tomorrows hopeful departure.
I'm so hungry, but I can't eat yet. I want my own toilet. I always get the squits at inappropriate times! Last time I was in Greece. We had to check out of our hotel in the morning but our flight was not until the evening, by midday I was spaying out with nowhere to go except hop from one hotel/restaurant toilet to the next. Had to get a fit to fly cert.
I don't cry but glaze up at the thought of the food back home I could be eating. I'm craving Chinese takeaway. Beef chow mien, Chicken balls with curry sauce. Reminiscing my last meal at the Sparkes household.
Stevie now has a mild case of the squits.
The scenery and indigenous locals that we once loved and photographed excitedly are now a common sight that only grabs the attention of newcomers on the boat.
